Creating Opportunities For Excellence Mentorship Academy
The academy features influencers who mentors young women from 14 to 18 in various areas of their lives. Our mentees engage in a wide variety of experiences while working side by side with some of today’s influencers, community, and industry leaders. Through this academy, our mentees engage in Leadership Skill building, Decision Making, Anti-Bullying, Team Trust exercises, Self-worth Development, College Readiness, etc.
The achievement of a mentoring experience depends on the contributions and commitment of everyone involved in the mentoring relationship; the organization, the parent/guardian, the mentee and the mentor. To enroll your child, please email us at email@example.com or contact 225-308-1263.

COE Signature Events
Be The Voice Campaign
#BeTheVoice is a movement that helps eliminate common myths about abuse. We have implemented #BeTheVoice to empower survivors to use their voice to speak up and out. This campaign brings awareness to a cause that impacts millions. Make a difference. All of us, working together, can protect children from the trauma that ruins their lives. Our campaigns make change happen, but only when you get involved. Act now.
Now You See Campaign
Now You See: A Celebration of Courageous Kids is a photo exhibit that reveals the bravery of abused, neglected, and exploited children who disclose their trauma to those of us in law enforcement. Each child, and set of eyes, is unique and meets his or her own challenges around the trauma. They each cope in their own way. But every child in this project has told someone what happened to them. And in each photo, the child or adult survivor or caretaker is proud. And their eyes show that. They are proud that they are here and they have something to say to the world — and especially to other kids.
The children, teens, adult survivors, and loving caretakers in this project represent just a fraction of the thousands who are sexually and physically abused each year in Massachusetts. They tell a story that needs to be heard — and seen. This project honors their bravery and their resilience. It gives them a chance to share their messages with all of us — those of us who listen and those who need to speak. We hope they will inspire you as they have inspired us. They have shown courage in the most frightening of circumstances, and in doing so, have made themselves, and all of us, much safer and stronger. And Now You See. If you would like to share your story, please email email@example.com.
Walk A Mile Save A Child
WAMSAC is our Child Abuse Awareness walk that takes place in April of each year. WAMSAC provides us with an opportunity to alert our community the need for a community commitment to child abuse prevention. Every dollar you help raise in the WAMSAC helps support and inform the community who are parents, guardians, teachers, and child care professionals. As a united, educated, and supported community, we can better prevent the physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional maltreatment, and neglect of our children.
Mary R. Harris Angel Tree
We are making a difference across the world. Individuals, social service agencies and schools refer families to COE for help with Christmas. We obtain the name of each child in the family and a list of desired Christmas gifts. Generous Donors select Angels, purchase gifts, and return them to the Angel Tree by the given deadline. Upon their return, the gifts are taken to one our office. During the five days prior to Christmas Eve, our team delivers the Christmas gifts to the families.
Host an Event for COE
